When a bunch of strangers fill up a large moving vehicle they do seem to wear their emotions a little more outwardly. And it is my experience that people are at their most photogenic when they aren't faking it.

The bus is an exciting place for portraiture because I get to act instinctively and spontaneously with my camera to make portraits with presence. Each stop new models arrive, and each turn the bus takes provides me with new lighting.

Maybe it's glorified people watching, but I think that's what the art of photography really is at its core.
